Dangerous bacteria live in beach sand

American scientists say that on the beach you can get infected with bacteria dangerous to health, because in the beach sands there are many harmful microorganisms that are dangerous to health, and sometimes to human life.

Scientists from the United States conducted a study to determine how dangerous beach sand can be. The location of the experiment was the Hawaiian Islands – the most popular resort among vacationers. The results shocked many, because it turned out that dangerous bacteria live not only in water, but also on beaches. And they reproduce most intensively in direct sunlight.

Harmful bacteria, abundant in the sand, easily move to beach towels, clothes and other accessories, from where they can later enter the human body. Therefore, even a small scratch can cause serious infection.

To avoid the unpleasant consequences of relaxing on the beach, before leaving, it is necessary to thoroughly clean objects from the sand that could somehow come into contact with it. Children, the elderly, and those with a weakened immune system are most at risk of “picking up” harmful bacteria.
