Researchers from America believe that spontaneous thoughts and unpredictability can help a person raise his self-esteem.

Scientists came to this conclusion after receiving the results of five studies. Through a series of experiments, scientists wanted to find out what effect spontaneous thoughts have on the human psyche. It turned out that the more often a person resorts to this kind of thinking, the better he begins to orient himself in his own priorities, and this is the key to increasing his self-esteem.

Researchers focus on the following: how a person evaluates himself literally affects all his actions. Unfortunately, research results indicate that most people have very low self-esteem. In other words, it seems to them that they are much worse than they really are.

Naturally, it is not uncommon for a person to have an overestimated self-esteem. But so far scientists have not yet come to a common conclusion why some people overestimate their own abilities so much.

Psychologists say that increasing one’s own self-esteem is within the power of everyone. They strongly recommend that you stop comparing yourself to others, especially when it comes to social networks, where almost every user greatly embellishes their achievements. You should also be calm about your own mistakes and not blame yourself for them – this is a valuable life experience, an obligatory component of the formation of the personality of any person.
